What is a Conveyancer?
A Conveyancer is a legal specialist in property transactions.
Under NSW law, conveyancing work may only be undertaken by a qualified person. Licensed Conveyancers are so qualified.
Licensed Conveyancers must have undertaken tertiary education and comprehensive training. They are licensed by the Department of Fair Trading and governed by the Conveyancers Licensing Act 1995.
As Conveyancers do not undertake court work they are usually more available to their clients. Obviously, as they only deal in property matters, they have a comprehensive knowledge and experience as specialists in their field.
Conveyancers are required to keep their knowledge up to date with changes to legislation and law through a continuing education program. |
